Webb announces candidacy for Toledo City Council District 6

Democrat Lindsay Webb announced her candidacy for Toledo City Council District 6 on April 13, 2007, at One Government Center.

In support of her candidacy were Jeanine Perry, Lucas County Recorder, and Wade Kapszukiewicz, Lucas County Treasurer.  Both Perry and Kapszukiewicz are former Toledo City Council members from District 6.

Lindsay Webb, 31, was raised in Point Place and resides there.  “My desire to serve is longstanding and I have a strong commitment to my community,” said Webb.

“It is imperative that both City Council and the Administration make preservation of Toledo’s manufacturing sector a top priority,” states Webb.  Webb’s campaign focuses on maintaining Toledo’s manufacturing base and expanding opportunities for advance manufacturing.

As a coordinator for the National Employment Law Project, a non-profit research and advocacy group, Lindsay’s work focuses on assisting workers impacted by the loss of jobs in the manufacturing sector.

A two time graduate of the University of Toledo, Lindsay holds a Bachelor’s degree in Urban Studies and a J.D. from the University of Toledo’s College of Law.
