Youth Summer Job Fair scheduled for April 26

The Source Northwest Ohio is holding a Youth Summer Job Fair on April 26, 2007 from

3:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. for youths aged 16 through 21. The fair will be held at The Source located at 1301 Monroe Street, Toledo. 

“This is a great way for employers to market their companies to the workforce of the future,” said Craig Gebers, Director of Workforce Development for NetWORK, a partner of The Source.

“It’s an opportunity for companies to help our youth take initial steps toward a career, since a number of the youth looking for jobs will be looking for their ‘first jobs’,” Gebers added. 

To help the young applicants, The Source will be offering workshops in résumé writing, interviewing skills and techniques. Workshops will be held at The Source on Tuesday, April 24 and Wednesday, April 25 from 3:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m.  There is also a youth resource room that contains information to help youth with their job search.
