CMA Hosts Internationally Acclaimed Violinist Akiko Suwanai

 

CLEVELAND: The Cleveland Museum of Art's VIVA! and Gala Around Town series will present one of the world's most renowned classical violinists when it hosts Akiko Suwanai (Philips Classics), the youngest ever winner of the prestigious International Tchaikovsky Competition, at 7:30 p.m., Friday, April 13, at Pilgrim Congregational Church, 2592 W. 14th St., Cleveland.  Suwanai will perform on the Antonio Stradivarius 1714 violin 'Dolphin', on loan from the Nippon Music Foundation, and will be accompanied on the piano by Akira Eguchi

 

Admission to the performance is $29; $27 for CMA members.  Students pay what they can the night of the performance or can reserve group tickets in advance at a discounted price.*  To purchase tickets, call the CMA Ticket Center at 1-888-CMA-0033 or online at www.clevelandart.org/viva.
