Cleveland chapter of NSHMBA formed

 

CLEVELAND - March 21, 2007: In a press release, the National Society of Hispanic MBAs (NSHMBA) have announced the creation of a Cleveland chapter of NSHMBA, which will strive to promote leadership, development and networking opportunities for Latino business professionals in Northeastern Ohio.

 

The National Society of Hispanic MBAs (NSHMBA) was created in 1988 as a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization. NSHMBA serves 32 chapters and 6,700 members in the United States and Puerto Rico. It exists to foster Latino leadership through graduate management education and professional development.

 

Currently in Chapter-in-Formation status, the chapter has one year to establish themselves as an official chapter recognized by NSHMBA on a national level.

The goal of the Chapter is to make an immediate impact on the development and visibility of Latino professionals, MBAs, and students in Northeastern Ohio by:
• Working with students and universities to increase the enrollment of Hispanics in graduate management programs;
• Assisting corporations and other business organizations in the recruitment, development and promotion of Hispanic business professionals; and
• Organizing as well as participating in networking and community events to provide Hispanic professionals with opportunities for career growth, leadership development and entrepreneurship.
