Christine Rice named new president of VisionIT

DETROIT: Last week, in a move that signifies growth to an already fast-rising Latino-owned business, Detroit-headquartered VisionIT, Inc. named Latina Christine Rice as president—the first woman and second person to hold the firm’s title in its 10-year existence.

“This is a milestone year for VisionIT in more ways than one,” said David H. Segura, CEO of VisionIT.  “In our tenth year of business we have grown tremendously and Christine has played a significant role in that growth.  She has more than exemplified the dedication and operational ingenuity required to serve as our president and we are extremely blessed to have her as part of our executive team.”

As president, Christine will oversee all operations including vendor management, human resources and recruitment operations, while focusing on improving processes and identifying and recruiting the best information technology talent nationally.

Joining VisionIT in 1998, Christine previously served as vice president of operations, helping to build its recruitment team from the ground up, while implementing innovative procedures that helped the firm become an award-winning supplier to several Fortune 100 companies.  Christine also has more than 20 years of experience in the human resource and staffing industry working with companies such as EDS.

According to Segura, VisionIT is one of the nation’s largest diversity-owned companies and has become a national leader in the areas of information technology staffing, outsourcing, and vendor management with offices in Detroit, Cleveland, Chicago, San Francisco, and Atlanta.
