Learn how to create a healthier you—for free

The University of Toledo is offering the chance to get 2007 off to a healthy start with the help of medical experts, health screenings and information booths — all at no cost to you.

The UT College of Health Science and Human Service Alumni Affiliate is holding a Family Obesity Conference on Awareness, Assessment and Management on Saturday, Feb. 24, from 8:30 a.m. to noon in the Health and Human Services Building Multipurpose Room 1711 on Main Campus.

This free health program is designed for adults and for children 10 and older to learn more about current health trends from a panel of medical professionals. Free health screenings and information will be available for you to use right away to make yourself a healthier person.

Registration is at 8:30 a.m. at the College of Health Science and Human Service. There will be a panel of medical experts from 9 to 10:30 a.m.

Following the panel will be a screening and wellness fair from 10:30 a.m. to noon. Free screenings include blood pressure, pulmonary function and body mass index. There will also be information booths with resources and community organizations.

The program and fair are free, but reservations are required.

For more information, call the Office of Alumni Relations at 419.530.2586 or 800.235.6766. Reservations can be made online at www.toledoalumni.org.
