Terra presents Project Three +

Fremont: To assist non-traditional college students, Terra Community College has developed a new program called Project Three +.

“With this new approach, we hope to take the fear of affordability and college requirements out of the mind of older students,” said Mary McCue, Director of Marketing, Public Relations and Enrollment Services. “We want them to gain the knowledge and confidence needed to enroll and succeed in college classes.”1

Project Three + will roll out the “Jump Start” and “Second Chance” scholarships designed for prospective students who have been out of high school at least three years.

Terra offers two free informational sessions for adults who have been out of high school three years or more. The sessions are on Nov.8, 2006 from 10:00 to 11:30 a.m., or from 6:30 to 8:00 p.m. The sessions will be in Building B, Room 206.

Topics will include information on Jump Start and Second Chance scholarships, financial aid sources, applying and enrolling at Terra, and career exploration. Jolene Meyers will be on hand to discuss the Office Administration program and Mike Shirtz will be available to discuss Terra’s Music program.

This free informational session is open to the public and reservations are not required. For additional information, contact Terra’s Admissions Office at 419-559-2349 or 1-866-AT-TERRA.
