Toledo, Nov. 7, 2006: Attorney Anita López (who successfully was elected to the office of Lucas County Recorder in Nov. of 2005) defeated incumbent Larry Kaczala for Lucas County Auditor, by a vote of 74,981 to 62, 783 (unofficial). Other winners included: Democrats Ben Konop (Lucas County Commissioner), Joe McNamara (Toledo City Council), Thomas Osowik (Judge, 6^th District Court of Appeals), and Charles J. Doneghy (Judge, Lucas County Common Pleas Court). The Toledo Zoo, Children Services, and Emergency Services levies passed.
