12th Annual Latino Issues Conference
On April 27, the Center for Multicultural & Academic Initiatives of the Bowling Green State University presented the 12th Annual Latino Issues Conference, with a theme of: “Meeting at the Intersection of Market, Politics, and Other Cultural Practices.”
Dr. Arlene Davila of the New York University was the keynote speaker. Shown above are photographs of the event’s committee and presenters.

According to the event committee, most of the topics “sooner or later, directly or indirectly, connect the United States and Latin America,” which is the “axis around which the debate on undocumented workers revolves.” The Committee asked FLOC to have a booth at the conference so that the attendees could understand the scope of immigration reform and the dangers of HR 4437.
