East Toledo Wrestling Club places 2nd in State Championship Tournament
The East Toledo Wrestling Club has always been dominant in wrestling as was illustrated last weekend, March 17-19, 2006, at St. John Arena in Steubenville, Ohio, where seven of its wrestlers placed in the 3rd Annual Ohio Grade School Wrestling State Championships.

The wrestlers were: Division 1 (8 years old and under): Mario Guillen, age 8, placed 2nd in the 50-pound class; Mario’s younger brother, Moises Guillen, age 7, placed 4th in the 50-pound class; Kyle McGibbney, placed 3rd in the 55-pound class; and Jeremiah Anderson, placed 5th in the 65-pound class. Division II (10 years of age and under): Bryce Castilleja, placed 4th in the 75-pund class; and Chance Sonnenberg, placed 8th in the 87-pound class. Division III (12 years of age and under): Joe Nauman, placed 7th in the 160-pound class.
Coaches of the club include: Gary Burgess (Head Coach), Hector Ramírez, Earl Ramírez, Steve Ulinski, Ray Castilleja, Joe Campos III, Chris McGibbney, Damon Escobedo, and John Niño. Bonnie Mauder is the club’s program director.
Overall, the club placed second as a team. Team Jordan placed first.
