88th Juried exhibition showcases artists’ works
Toledo Area Artists Exhibition opens July 28, 2006
 

More than $7,000 in artist awards will be announced at the opening ceremony for the 88^th annual Toledo Area Artists exhibition on Friday, July 28, at the Toledo Museum of Art.  The ceremony will begin at 7:30 p.m. in the Great Gallery and will culminate in the public opening of the exhibition in the Canaday Gallery.

Sergio De Giusti, sculptor and art instructor, and Susan J. Bandes, Director of the Kresge Art Museum at Michigan State University, juried 889 works of art by artists living in or originally from Northwest Ohio and Southeast Michigan.  The jurors selected 116 of the entries for this year's exhibition. 

Toledo Area Artists exhibition is free to the public and will remain on view at the Toledo Museum of Art through September 3, 2006.  This exhibition is co-organized by the Toledo Museum of Art and the Toledo Federation of Art Societies (TFAS) and is supported, in part, by the Ohio Arts Council.
