COSI to receive service award in D.C.

COSI in downtown Toledo is one of six museums and libraries that will receive a 2005 National Award for Museum and Library Service from the federal Institute of Museum and Library Services in Washington, D.C. The awards are made to museums/libraries that have demonstrated long-term commitment to public service through innovative programs and community partnerships.

With the award comes a prize of $10,000.

Awards will also be given to: St. Paul Public Library, St. Paul MN; the Johnson County Library, Overland Park, Kan; Levine Museum of the New South, Charlotte; Mathews Memorial Library, Mathews, Va.; and the Pratt Museum, Homer, Alaska.
