Reyna, Del Carmen, Durón-Willner reappointed to COSSA
LANSING: Governor Jennifer M. Granholm announced last week the following reappointments to Michigan’s Commission on Spanish Speaking Affairs (COSSA):
José L.R. Reyna of Grand Rapids, assistant to the city manager in the city of Grand Rapids. Mr. Reyna is reappointed to represent the general public for a term expiring December 10, 2009.

Dr. María Del Carmen Soto of Jackson, physician with the Michigan Family Practice of Jackson. Dr. Soto is reappointed to represent the general public for a term expiring December 10, 2009.

Danette R. Durón-Willner of Wixom, corporate manager of EEO with Kelly Services, Inc. Ms. Durón-Willner is reappointed to represent the general public for a term expiring December 10, 2009.
COSSA was created by Public Act 164 of 1975 to develop policies and plans to serve the needs of Michigan’s Spanish-speaking residents. The commission consists of 15 members from around the state appointed by the governor, who are of Latino descent and are Spanish-speaking. These reappointments are subject to Article V, Section 6 of the Michigan State Constitution of 1963. The reappointments stand confirmed unless disapproved by the Senate within 60 days.
