TOLEDO CITY COUNCIL OVERRIDES MAYOR FINKBEINER’S VETO

On Sunday, Toledo Mayor Carty Finkbeiner vetoed a Toledo City Council ordinance (Ordinance 232-06) which was recently passed, 8 to 2, relating to waiving the Living Wage Law for the proposed Costco Development at Westgate Village Shopping Center.

Today, with one council member absent (Bob McCloskey), the council voted 11 to 0 to override the mayor’s veto. 9 votes were needed to override the veto.

The mayor could not be reached for comment.
