Esperanza hosts Viva La Salsa celebration

Cleveland, OH: Esperanza, Inc. will be hosting the Viva La Salsa Music & Culture Celebration on October 1st, at the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame and Museum.

Viva La Salsa will feature salsa dancers from Greater Cleveland and beyond, competing for thousands of dollars in prizes.  The dancers will be accompanied by the rhythmic music of Cleveland’s own Sammy De León y Su Orquesta and is expected to be Cleveland’s Hispanic event of the year, according Gamalier Sturgis, Event Chair, and

Bárbara Esperón, Chief Executive Officer.

Admission to Viva La Salsa is $75 per couple in advance.  Discounted tickets are available for students and other special interest groups. Tickets can be purchased by phone, at the Tops event or in persons at Esperanza’s office.

In preparation for the Viva La Salsa Music & Culture Celebration, local talent was showcased in a kick-off celebration last Sunday at the Westown TOPS Supermarket, including performances by Grupo Isla del Encanto, Noel Quintana, and Trudy & José Ramos.

Esperanza is a non-profit organization that provides literacy training, mentoring, tutoring, and scholarship support to the Cleveland’s Latino community. Esperanza is located at 4115 Bridge Avenue, Cleveland 44113 and can be reached at 216-651-7178.
