Enrique Carrillo is man of the hour with the Fourth Hispanic Business Expo
“This is our fourth Expo and it is bigger than ever and I have had the pleasure of organizing the event these past two years with the help of a myriad of companies and individuals,” said Enrique Carrillo, who chairs the HBA committee that hosts the highly successful Latino business exposition, held again this year at Detroit’s Marriott Renaissance Center, scheduled for Thursday, Sept. 29.
“We have over 115 display booths and over 50 sponsors, a dramatic increase over last year; we also expect over 1,000 in attendance,” added Carrillo.

Sponsors include: Comerica, General Motors Corporation, Univision Detroit, Hennessey Capital Solutions, Comcast, DaimlerChrysler, and DTE Energy.
“It is Hispanic Expos like this—Michigan’s largest—which will enable Latinos to encounter and interact with large Fortune 500 corporations and vice-versa,” continued Carrillo.
Carrillo is a vice president at Comerica, who heads the bank’s Hispanic Initiative in Michigan; he is a commissioner with Michigan’s Commission on Spanish Speaking Affairs. Carrillo also hosts an annual Pachanga Cubana at his home in Bloomfield Hills, where Cuban cuisine and culture are celebrated.

The Hispanic Business Alliance was founded in 1978 as an advocacy organization to “promote, develop and advance Hispanic businesses and individuals in the Detroit Metropolitan area and throughout the State of Michigan,” according to its Web site at www.hbaexpo.org and is the official promoter of Hispanic Business Expo & Economic Summit.
