Alexia Romero recipient of BBB’s 2005 Integrity Award
Earlier this month, Alexia Romero, 17, a senior at Elyria Catholic High School, was the recipient of a 2005 Integrity Award.
With the award recognition comes a scholarship for $1,000 to be utilized at any institution of higher learning by the recipient.
According to Ms. Romero in her essay addressed to the judging panel, “While people can get ahead dishonestly, they lose out on something much more important: self-respect and other people’s respect for you. It is amazing how good you feel about yourself when you know that you have earned everything honestly.”
