La Liga de Las Americas began its playoffs last Sunday with Dep. Latinos defeating Michigan, 3-2, at Schneider Soccer Complex. More photos on page 10 and at www.laprensa1.com.  Gama, F.C. Rayos, & Toledo Sports Club also won.

Toledo’s Gama defeated Dep. Monroe, 2 -1, in OT last Sunday at Schneider Soccer Complex, La Liga de Las Americas.

F.C. Rayos of Sandusky won in the Quarter Finals against Guadalupe, 2-0.

La Liga de Las Americas, based in Toledo, met to organize for the 2005 soccer/fútbol year, which begins Sunday, April 10 at 10:00AM at Schneider Soccer Complex. According to Marisa Gonzáles, the league will have 12 teams, with the additions of teams from Fostoria and Sandusky , Ohio . The April 10th schedule of games includes: Toledo S. Club vs. F.C. Rayos 10:00AM, Dep. Ixtlan vs. Guadalupe 10:00AM; Dep. Monroe vs. Fostoria 12:00PM, Central vs. Gama 12:00PM; Manchester vs. Michigan 2:00PM, and Dep. Latinos vs. Tri de Mexico 2:00PM.
