LANSING : According to Larry C. Arreguin, advisor of Community Relations of the Governor’s Office for Southeast Michigan , Governor Jennifer M. Granholm’s recent appointments/re-appointments to the Council for Labor and Economic Growth include: John R. Hernández ( Lansing ), interim state director for Telamon Corporation. Hernández was appointed to represent additional members for a term expiring April 30, 2009 . He succeeds Sam R. García, whose term has expired; Enrique Carrillo (Bloomfield Hills), Vice President of Public Affairs and manager of Hispanic Initiative for Comerica Bank, and one of the active organizers of Hispanic Business EXPO & Economic Summit. Carrillo, who is also a commissioner of Michigan ’s Commission on Spanish-Speaking Affairs, is reappointed to represent business for a term expiring April 30, 2009 ; and Sharon A. Rivera ( Canton ), UAW International Representative. Rivera is reappointed to represent labor organizations for a term expiring April 30, 2009 .
