ROI to celebrate 20 years

Rural Opportunities, Inc. (ROI)’s Bowling Green affiliate is celebrating its 20th anniversary of providing program services to Ohio ’s farmworkers and rural Latino population. A banquet in honor of its anniversary will be held at the Holiday Inn, French Quarter, on July 11, 6:00-9:00PM .

Awards will be presented to ROI graduates and friends. Sheila Banks, president of the ROI Board of Directors, will present the ROI Hall of Fame awards to Ms. Viola Gómez and Ms. Michal Urrutia for 20 years of services. Featured keynote speaker will be Polly Baca, executive director of the Latin American Research and Service Agency.

ROI is a private, not-for-profit regional community development and human service organization providing services to farmworkers, low-income families and economically depressed communities throughout New York, Pennsylvania, New Jersey, Ohio, Indiana, and Puerto Rico.
