Diamante nominees announced
Twenty-three individuals/organizations have been nominated for the Diamante Awards in recognition of their/its contributions to the Latino community and northwest Ohio .
All nominees will be honored at the annual awards on Friday, scheduled for September 9, at the Franciscan Theatre and Conference Center on the campus of Lourdes College in Sylvania , Ohio .

Adult Leadership: Mona Dokurno, Mary Jane Flores, Greg Guzmán, Benito Lucio, Jr., Casimiro Martínez, Theresa Katherine Morris, Fr. Richard Notter, Deborah Ortiz, Marcos Rivera, Sabina Elizondo Serratos, Andres Trejo, José Treviño, and Devin Vargas.
Youth: Raquel Colón, Sara Catherine López, Benjamin Rodríguez, Raquel Esperanza Rodríguez, and Carla Soto.
Corporation/Community and/or Organization: American Family Insurance Company, Community Health Services in Fremont (Alvin Deron Jackson, M.D.), Lourdes College (Karen Roadruck), the University of Toledo, College of Pharmacy (Christine Hinkel); and La Prensa.
While founded by IMAGE—an Ohio Latino advocacy organization—Bowling Green State University, Lourdes College, the Medical University of Ohio, Owens Community College, and the University of Toledo now co-sponsor this annual event, now in its 17th year.
