LSU’s Sauceda and Vida up for two Grammys

Sunny Sauceda of San Antonio’s Vida is up for two Grammy nominations this Sunday, Feb. 13—one with his band, Vida, and the other in collaboration with accordion giants David Lee Garza and Joel Guzmán, in a release titled, “Polkas, Gritos, y Acordeónes.”

The CD was released under Guzmán’s record label, Guzman Fox Records.

Sauceda and Vida will be performing—back by popular demand—at the Latino Student Union’s annual scholarship baile at the University of Toledo Student Union on Saturday, March 5.

Below are the Grammy nominees for “Best Tejano Album.” While I would like to see Vida win, my guess (no tengo pelos en mi lengua) is Garza, Guzmán, and Sauceda in Polkas, Gritos, y Acordeónes.
