CLEVELAND PUBLIC LIBRARY REOPENS TO VISITORS FOR BROWSING

WHAT Most Cleveland Public Library locations will reopen their doors to visitors for browsing. Curbside and walk-up services will still be provided.

West Park, Woodland, and Jefferson branches will only offer curbside and walk-up services until 6 p.m. on Friday, April 2 when all operations will cease for construction. The Public Administration Library (PAL) will remain closed due to limited hours at City Hall.

Due to the public health threat of COVID-19, patrons are required to wear face coverings and maintain social distance. Our neighborhood branches will limit capacity and seating, as well as require visitors to limit their visits to one hour and 15 minutes to ensure everyone has access to the Library.

“The Facilities Master Plan has been years in the making. Cleveland Public Library is excited to see these much-anticipated projects take shape,” remarks John Lang, Chief Operating Officer at Cleveland Public Library.

As part of the process to reimagine our neighborhood branches, Cleveland Public Library is hosting a series of community meetings to learn what people want to see in their future branches and how they plan to use the facilities. The virtual meetings will focus on the design and construction of the following branches: Brooklyn, Eastman, Lorain, Rockport, and SterlingAll community sessions will be held online. The first meeting is for the Eastman Branch project on Thursday, February 18 at 6 p.m. Attendees are encouraged to register.
