LCCS names Sophia Lloyd as Deputy Director

TOLEDO, March 9, 2020: Lucas County Children Services (LCCS), the county agency responsible for leading the community in the protection of children, has named Sophia Lloyd to the newly created position of Deputy Director.

“As we considered the experience of a number of highly qualified candidates, Sophia Lloyd stood out for her breadth and depth of knowledge of the caring professions, as well as her understanding of the needs of children in Lucas County. We believe that her insight will be a tremendous asset to our agency’s leadership team as child welfare undergoes significant change in the coming years,” says Robin Reese, executive director of LCCS.

Ms. Lloyd holds a bachelor’s degree in social work from the University of Toledo, a master’s degree in social work from the University of Michigan, and a certificate in organizational development from DePaul University in Chicago.
