Goes West, CIFF44 Goes East
Feb. 3, 2020: We’re over-the-river excited to announce that
thanks to generous support from
CIFF East and CIFF West are back for this year’s Festival. CIFF
West will once again be held in the
Arts District, with CIFF East taking place in the
Kick off the first weekend of #CIFF44 on the West Side,
Friday, March 27 through Sunday, March 29, with screenings at
Near West Theatre and the Capitol Theatre, each in the heart of
the Gordon Square neighborhood.
Then head east, Friday, April 3 through Sunday, April 5 for a
weekend of screenings at the Cedar Lee Theatre (the original
home of CIFF!) in Cleveland Heights.
“We’re proud to establish residencies in two premier arts
districts in Cleveland. Building on our presence in Downtown,
these destinations will make CIFF a robust experience for all,”
says CIFF Executive Director Marcie Goodman.
“Brining acclaimed films to the Gordon Square Arts District and
the Cedar Lee District will complement economic development in
these classic neighborhoods as Festival attendees also visit
nearby shops and restaurants,” said Pat Pastore, PNC regional
president for Cleveland. “Many people likely will return time
and again to explore these areas after the Festival, further
contributing to their vitality and continued success.”
The 44th Cleveland International Film Festival is March
25 through April 5, featuring 600+ screenings and 400 guest
filmmakers from around the world. Stay tuned for program
details, available Friday, February 28. Program Guides hit the
streets the week of March 2.
Tickets will go on sale to CIFF Members on Friday, March 6 and
to the general public on Friday, March 13. Visit
