SYLVANIA, July 16, 2019: The Northwest Ohio Scholarship Fund (NOSF) hosted a special graduation party on June 20 in the Ward Pavilion at Wildwood Metro Park in Toledo. This party was in honor of the NOSF Class of 2019. This class of graduates consisted of 100 eighth grade students who are graduating from the program this year and going on to high school.

The class of 2019 is NOSF’s 19th eighth grade class to graduate since the program was established. NOSF has awarded 15,400 need-based scholarships worth $13.2 million since 1999.  This class of scholarship students received a total of $359,000 in scholarships. Sixteen of the students have been in the program since kindergarten.  The graduates attended 35 private schools in 18 counties in Northwest Ohio including six students from Christ the King, three from Toledo Christian, and two from Maumee Valley Country Day School

Also invited to the party was the NOSF Board of Trustees including Chair Richard LaValley who acknowledged and congratulated the parents of the graduates for their commitment to education.

Ann Riddle, the Executive Director of the program shared with the students that they are joining 1,200 NOSF alumni who were able to attend their school thanks to the scholarship.  Ms. Riddle concluded the program by inviting the guests to support NOSF with a 20 for 20 Gift. This year NOSF is asking graduates, current parents and friends of NOSF to make a gift of $20 in honor of NOSF’s 20 years of awarding scholarships.
