Lott celebrates National Hot Dog Day

TOLEDO, July 17, 2019: Lott Industries celebrated National Hot Dog Day on July 17, 2019.  This informal event took place at Lott on 3350 Hill Avenue, Toledo, OH, 43607 from 11:30 a.m. – 1:30 p.m.  A picnic lunch featured hot dogs, a special home-made hot dog sauce, chips, salad and desserts.  Music was provided by volunteer DJ Jordon Swartz (Burkett Restaurant Equipment and Supplies) and indoor/outdoor fun activities took place.
 

The informal event gave Lott program participants an opportunity to spend time in a fun environment with their peers, family members, friends, and, community members.  During this event, grant announcements were made by Modern Woodmen Fraternal Financial and the Toledo Community Foundation

John Escobar, Financial Representative for Modern Woodmen of America, presented a matching gift in the amount of $2,500.00 to support programs for adults with developmental disabilities at Lott and announced their financial support for a beautification project in the east side of the Lott building.  Modern Woodmen is a member-owned fraternal financial services organization.  This fraternal financial organization provides opportunities for its members to participate in social and educational and volunteer activities.  Lott is grateful to be the recipient of their generosity.

The Board of Trustees of the Toledo Community Foundation approved a grant to Lott in the amount of $10,000.00.  These funds will be used for the implementation of a new initiative, Healthy Lott.  Through this initiative, Lott program participants will be educated and assisted in practicing healthy lifestyles to improve their lives.  Mike George, Vice President, Philanthropic Services & Advancement, Toledo Community Foundation, presented Lott’s CEO Tim Menke with a check to support this important program.

Tim Menke, CEO of Lott, expressed, “we are pleased to offer our clients an opportunity for community integration through this celebration of National Hot Dog Day.  We thank our sponsors, Sofo Foods, Pepsi and Latin Cravings Factory for making this event possible and thank the entire community for their support of our adults with developmental disabilities.  Lott is privileged and honored to receive the generosity of Modern Woodmen Fraternal Financial and the Toledo Community Foundation.”
