GEM Inc. is seeking an Assistant Weld Quality Inspection Manager. Assist the Quality Control Manager in the development, application and maintenance of quality control systems for mechanical construction and maintenance activities, including but not limited to, welded pipe, boilers, pressure vessels, furnaces, structural steel, and tanks. Develop, initiate, perform, and oversee methods and procedures for welding, inspection, testing and evaluation. Execute the welding quality control requirements per the established Quality Control program and job site requirements. Able to work shift work and potentially travel for out of town assignments. Required to have the physical capability to climb, lift, enter confined spaces, or similar conditions wherever welding takes place.

The ideal candidate will have a background and/or experience in welding & welding inspection, a current American Welding Society Certified Welding Inspector certification, a current API 510/570/653 certification or in pursuit of one or more of the API certifications, non-destructive testing experience; and/or petrochemical industry / boiler / pressure vessel / structural welding experience.

Title: Behavior and Curriculum Intervention Specialist

The Cuyahoga County Board of Developmental Disabilities (CCBDD) is seeking a full-time Behavior and Curriculum Intervention Specialist to assess, design and recommend behavioral supports interventions and curriculum adaptations for individuals eligible for CCBDD services. The nature of the duties will include, but are not limited to conducting functional behavior and ecological assessments of school, home or community environments to identify variables that may contribute to the presence of individual learning or behavioral problems. Consulting and working directly with staff and other professionals to develop positive behavioral support interventions incorporating ecological or environmental strategies, positive programming, and focused support strategies as appropriate for individuals exhibiting challenging behaviors.

Some of the Qualifications include:   Bachelor's degree in Special Education, Early Childhood Education or related field.  Applicant MUST be licensed by the State of Ohio Department of Education with one of the following licenses: Intervention Specialist (K-12) license with either mild/moderate or moderate/intensive endorsement, State of Ohio Department of Education Early Education of Handicap License or Early Childhood Intervention Specialist License.   Minimum of three years’ work experience with a special education or directly related program. Position: Minority Health Program Coordinator

The Minority Health Program Coordinator works to achieve improved awareness and health outcomes for minority populations experiencing barriers to health equity. Through education, advocacy, public relations, research and leadership, the incumbent will promote minority health and work towards solutions that address personal, family, and community problems faced by minority demographics. Incumbent will oversee all Health Department functions related to the goals set forth by the Commission on Minority Health (CMH). The incumbent will coordinate with the Health Commissioner to increase staff cultural understanding and competency. The Program Coordinator will work under the supervision of the Director of Health Promotion with direction of Health Commissioner.

Basic Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Public Health, Health Promotion, or closely related field

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills

• Ability to communicate across a broad cross-section of groups and individuals

• Ability to work independently and as a team member

• Grant Writing and reporting experience

• Valid driver’s license, reliable transportation

• Ability to work non-traditional hours, including nights and weekends, and ability to work evening and weekend hours

Responsibilities:

Maintains current knowledge and understanding of issues concerning cultural competency/health equity in healthcare and their potential impact on health disparities. Works to develop health-marketing plans that address each of the priority disease states and/or health conditions.

• Serves as a liaison by establishing, promoting, and maintaining a collaborative long-term partnerships with various community agencies and groups and governmental entities in the implementation of and operations of the coalition in the establishment of a local office of minority health targeting health disparities in the communities. Develops policies and strategies to support health efforts and advocates for the implementation of strategies and policies to reduce health disparities within the community.

• Assists in and develops educational materials which meet the needs of agency service providers and is considerate of various educational, ethnic and socio-economic levels and community groups. Administers, coordinates, or completes special projects including grant writing.
